What age did you start surfing?

Jake: Around 5 or 6. Took it serious at age 9

What do you love about surfing in Huntington Beach?

Jake: I love surfing in HB because of the friendships I’ve made throughout the years. We have such a great local crew of guys and girls. Most of us have a deep sense of community with one another and we do really look out for each other in and out of the water. It’s also a wave you can surf 365 days a year if you want. There’s always a little wave somewhere.

What is your favorite break?

Jake: Southside pier bowl during the winter

What does belonging to HB's surf community mean to you?

Jake: It means family. We all support each other and genuinely care about each other. I love the people here, we really are special.
